In beautiful Englewood, Ohio, we awoke to 6+ inches of snow this morning. After clearing the patio and refilling the bird feeders, we noticed that no birds were showing up. Suspecting the two neighborhood Cooper's hawks, we carefully scanned the nearby trees in our neighborhood. And what should we find? Not a Cooper's hawk, but the oft misidentified juvenile northern goshawk in a neighbor's tree. What a treat! Eyestripe, zig-zag tail bands, the whole package. To quote the great Frank Zappa, "Ignorance is highly underrated." Go figure. Ed and Bev **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living.
