Conneaut harbor is still completely covered with ice, but this past weekend there was a small area of open water that contained: Canada Goose - 3 G. Scaup - 2 Bufflehead - 2 Am. Wigeon - 2 Hooded Merganser - 4 Common Merganser - 2 Other birds seen include: T. Vulture - 4 Killdeer - 14 Cooper's Hawk - 1 Also: Robin, C. Grackle, R.W. Blackbird, Tree Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Ring-Bill, Herring & G. Black Back Gulls. Just West of the harbor along Lake Rd. there is a large partially flooded corn field that contained the following waterfowl: Canada Goose - 150+ Snow Goose - 2 Tundra Swan - 23 Mallard - 30+ Black Duck - 16 N.
