I found an early singing male Ruby-crowned Kinglet at Greenlawn Cemetery in
Columbus this morning. It was near the bridge, displaying it's ruby crown
prominently.

Also, a short distance northeast of the bridge there was a Great Horned Owl
apparently sitting on a nest in a tree where Great Horned Owls have nested
in the past, although I haven't seen one there for several years. It is in
an opening in the tree which apparently is the result of a lightning strike.

There were two Belted Kingfishers flying in the vicinity of Thurber Pond and
a Red-breasted Nuthatch at the feeders by the pond. Other birds seen were
common winter residents.
