Spend about an hour late this afternoon. the following is in addition to the previous post from Robert Jackson Horned Grebe (20+) 2 in breeding plumage Pied-billed Grebe (1) Ring-billed Gull (1 in the water) Belted Kingfisher (1) Red-shouldered Hawk (1) Northern Cardinal Black-capped Chickadee Red-bellied Woodpecker And what appeared to be 1 Eastern Phoebe? Thought I was seeing things; a small bird exhibiting "hawking" behavior. It was in the little inlet on the north of the marsh so I didn't get a great look. It would return to a perch behind some brush, so I only got a look as it would quickly fly out over the water.
