This morning around 10 a.m. there were 3 American White Pelicans at the
north end of CJ Brown Reservoir (DeLorme 66A3). I saw them from the end
of a small gravel access road off of Grant Road. They were swimming
around among the gulls and waterfowl by several small islands. They were
seen by a friend a few hours later sleeping up on one of the islands.

We have seen white pelicans visit the same area several springs in a row
now. Today was a north wind, but it is supposed to turn to a south wind
early tomorrow and strengthen. I hope they don't move on just yet.

Grant Road forms the eastern boundary of Buck Creek State Park. This
lake access is near the north end of Grant Road across from a white barn
with a grain bin and some enormous mulch piles.
