When I pulled up our driveway on the return trip from church this morning I was greeted with the defeaning sound of a giant blackbird flock that was in our backyard. I won't dare to guess how many individuals the flock had but it did turn approximately 2 acres of our grass black and filled many of the trees at the edge of our woods. I decided to scope through them and was rewarded by finding a single BREWERS BLACKBIRD in with them. Apart from this bird, the flock contained mostly Red-wings, Grackles, and Cowbirds but had a good handful of Rustys in the mix.

  Good Birding!
