Not anytime recently, that's for sure. I've always been thrilled to hear the song of the winter wren, since I seem to hear it so infrequently. I still remember clearly the first time I heard its song in 1995 at Cedar Falls in the Hocking Hills. Since then, I have heard a winter wren in song only three other times, even though I have seen them nearly every year. Waiting to hear that melodious burbling again is one of the reasons I'm a birder!
