My husband Ed and I strolled for two hours this afternoon at Highbanks MetroPark, located just north of Columbus. We saw a number of nice birds (about a dozen buffleheads, 4 hooded merganzers, ruby crowned kinglets, eastern towhees), but the highlight was a great view of a single PALM WARBLER, sitting on the ground not ten feet from us, wagging its tail, chestnut head bobbing, yellow throat clarly visible. It was right by the blind at the end of the Wetland Path.
