Birders,

on saturday morning  I put out the birdbaths, and the yard was
remarkably transformed. there are three times as many birds and 50% more
species, although some are just chance.

House wren
Carolina wren
Black-capped chickadee
Tufted titmouse
White-breasted nuthatch (red breasted last seen about 2 weeks ago))
House finch
Northern cardinal
Mourning dove
Robin
Blue Jay
Am Crow
Common grackle
Cowbird
Hairy woodpecker
Downy woodpecker
Red-bellied woodpecker
Chipping sparrow
White-throated sparrow (none all spring and now about 10)
Song sparrow
Great blue heron (flyover)
Green heron (two, perched in a norway maple over my house, yeeling "KHOW!")
Turkey vulture
Killdeer
Canada goose

Conspicuously missing:

N. oriole
RT hummer
Am. goldfinch
hermit thrush
