Greetings, Follow this link to some photos of the Station Road (Summit Co.) Eurasian Green-winged Teal that I digiscoped today using Paula Lozano's camera: http://picasaweb.google.com/winger.ben9 The bird was first found by Joe Wojnarowski (misspelled in my last post). Note the bold horizontal black and white stripe below the wing, the prominent white lines bordering the green face mask, and the lack of a vertical white stripe bordering the breast. The Sibley Guide notes that Eurasian Green-winged teal have "coarser" and more visible gray and white vermiculations on the sides of the body than our Green-winged Teal. This was apparent in the field but is not visible in the photos -Ben Winger Cleveland Heights, OH ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
