At my house there was a decent hawk movement today. Unfortunately the wind switched to the north and that ended it about 12:10. A total of 262 birds went by. Here are what birds passed over Turkey vulture (133), osprey (1), sharp-shinned hawk (9), Cooper's hawk (6), broad-winged hawk (86), red-shouldered hawk (2), red-tailed hawk (6), MERLIN (1), American kestrel (18). There were a lot of swallows moving throughout the day. Cliff swallow was the only species not seen. A few chimney swifts also passed by. Other birds of note were SANDHILL CRANE (3), EVENING GROSBEAK (4), pine siskin (6), purple finch (2), red-breasted nuthatch (5), PINE WARBLER (2), LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH (1), and American pipit (8).
