Sorry for late post. I am posting this list here because I believe it relates to our range and it is certainly worth a visit in mid April. Mike Flynn and I lead an Audubon trip to Prairie Ridge near Newton Illinois last weekend to see the endangered Greater Prairie-Chicken. Below are the list of birds we saw (Thanks Alyn). Now that some of us know what to listen/look for with the Smith's Longspur we'll be keeping our senses open per Bill Whan's excellent record keeping.
