Greetings---I was out at dusk last evening in a different part of Coitsville Twp. (Mahoning Co.) than the night before, this time in Atlas block 43D7CE. I heard 4 Am. woodcocks and another barred owl. At around 5:30 this morning, I happened to wake up early while it was still dark. I heard hooting...2 great horned owls calling back and forth. Soon, a barred owl joined in! By 6:00 AM the show was over. All this pretty darn close to the house, also in block 43D7CE. That makes 3 barred owls and 2 great horned owls in the last 36 hours, all within 5 miles of home, and with only moderate effort. It looks like A.
