I had a couple of Blue Gray Gnatcatchers today in the yard today. No sign of warblers yet but Eastern Phoebes are everywhere. The overlap of the Chipping Sparrow and Dark Eyed Juncos is providing an excellent opportunity to note the differences in the songs of these two species-a difficult one for me to distinguish. If only the Worm Eating Warbler were here for the comparison as well. I will be keeping my feeders well stocked for a few more weeks with the hope of repeating last years excellent Rose Breasted Grosbeak showing.
