I took a brief break this afternoon and walked over to the Concourse (just NE from the KeyTower and adjacent to the Convention Center) for about a ten minute walk inside its perimeter. There were at least 25 Song Sparrows (mostly congregating in the northern end), 2 Hermit Thrushes (northwest corner), 1 Fox Sparrow (northwest corner) and a male Eastern Towhee (southwest corner). In addition, there was a Dark-eyed Junco hanging out with the Songs. This was certainly the most Song Sparrows I've ever seen in one area Not bad for a ten-minute walk. Have a good migration.
