Had a good day over all, Finally saw the Great Horned owlets(2) at Greenlawn. I had stared at that tree over 2 previous visits and had not seen them. This time I really took my time and finally saw them. But if their eyes weren't open I don't think I would have as they blended so well into the gray wood of the tree. The tree is on the south side of area M as previously describd. The red breasted nuthatches are still at the Pit. Chipping sparrows were everywhere as another lister noted. Tohees and Winter Wrens were seen both at the Pit and the Ravine (or bridge as some people call it) I put a new observation book in the box attached to the bulletin board at the Pit area. Please log your observations or comments if you visit Greenlawn. We had book two yrs ago and it was most helpful to me as an inexperienced birder. I want to try to continue the "tradition". Thanks in advance. Phillip North ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
