Good morning all, Being on the fringes of Dayton, we don't get anything more exotic than the odd Red Breasted Nuthatch in the fall. Imagine my surprise when I came down to the desk and had a Swainson's Thrush sitting -- and singing -- in the feeder that I put up on Wednesday. Sadly, this is most likely a direct result of the obliteration of the Sugar Camp habitat, nearby. In unrelated birding, the Hooded Warblers are out in force at John Bryan State Park and I got to witness a Cooper's Hawk pillage a Robin's nest at Siebenthaler Fen, last night. Other than that, it was pretty much simply damp, yesterday. Good birding, Phil --------------------- Philip M.
