Greetings, I got a chance to go out with my family and do some hiking with some birding thrown in for good measure. Siebenthaler Fen (Greene County) was short-lived, as I got called away, but there was a particularly gracious Common Yellowthroat who posed nicely for some photographs. Possum Creek (Montgomery County) had a pleasant surprise as a single Spotted Sandpiper was skulking along the rocks, stopping only for about a total of a minute. Too bad I was shooting black and white film with a 35-70mm lens, at the time. We'll see how those came out. :) Peace, Phil Location: Siebenthaler Fen Turkey Vulture Mourning Dove Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Hairy Woodpecker Eastern Wood-Pewee Willow Flycatcher Eastern Phoebe White-eyed Vireo Warbling Vireo Blue Jay American Crow Carolina Chickadee Tufted Titmouse White-breasted Nuthatch Carolina Wren House Wren Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Wood Thrush Yellow Warbler Yellow-throated Warbler Common Yellowthroat Eastern Towhee Song Sparrow Northern Cardinal Indigo Bunting Red-winged Blackbird Brown-headed Cowbird Baltimore Oriole American Goldfinch Location: Possum Creek Metropark Canada Goose Turkey Vulture Spotted Sandpiper Mourning Dove Downy Woodpecker Northern Flicker Eastern Wood-Pewee Eastern Phoebe White-eyed Vireo Warbling Vireo Blue Jay American Crow Tree Swallow Barn Swallow Carolina Chickadee White-breasted Nuthatch Carolina Wren House Wren Golden-crowned Kinglet Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Eastern Bluebird Wood Thrush American Robin Gray Catbird Brown Thrasher Yellow Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Prothonotary Warbler Eastern Towhee Field Sparrow Song Sparrow Northern Cardinal Indigo Bunting Red-winged Blackbird Common Grackle Brown-headed Cowbird Baltimore Oriole American Goldfinch --------------------- Philip M.
