Greetings: Today I spent roughly 6 and a half hours in a wood lot in southern Montgomery County, performing some fieldwork for my job. The woodlot, which is on property owned by the Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority, was chock full of migrants. While I couldn't focus on birdwatching as I was actually working, I did rack up some good sightings: Red-tailed Hawk 2 (on nest) Red-bellied Woodpecker 2 Downy Woodpecker 1 Least Flycatcher 2 White-eyed Vireo 2 Yellow-throated Vireo 1 Blue-headed Vireo 1 Red-eyed Vireo 1 Blue Jay 2 American Crow 3 Carolina Chickadee 2 House Wren 2 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 2 American Robin 4 Nashville Warbler 2 Northern Parula 1 Yellow Warbler 2 Chestnut-sided Warbler 2 Yellow-rumped Warbler 4 Black-throated Green Warbler 3 Common Yellowthroat 1 Hooded Warbler 1 Yellow-breasted Chat 1 Northern Cardinal 1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak 2 Red-winged Blackbird 2 Common Grackle 3 This report was generated automatically by eBird v2( <http://ebird.org> http://ebird.org) Good Birding, Andy Sewell Columbus, Ohio _____ This mailbox protected from junk email by MailFrontier Desktop from MailFrontier, Inc. http://info.mailfrontier.com ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
