I am distressed that this spring so far has been dismal for yard birds for me. I usually have new warblers to wake up t almost every day at this time of year. So far this year I have only had a few yellow rumps and two nashvilles. I have lived in the neighborhood for 12 years. This is the first year with no orioles in the neighborhood. They have always nested here. I live very close to the lake so usually get loads of warblers. Even the thrushes are scarce this year. I always get plenty of Magnolias, Black throated Greens, Black Throated Blues, Blue Wings, Blackburnians, Black and Whites, Tennessees and more. I have had Mourning Warblers and Wilson's too. This years migrants so far amount to three rose breasted grossbeaks, a male ruby throated humming bird and a blue gray gnat catcher. . It is way too quiet here on the west side of Cleveland. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
