After reading Jim McCormac's posting about at least one of the Mississippi kites returning to the Brass Ring Golf Course in Hocking County, I went there to Keller Road from which most birders saw the birds last year as noted in Jim's posting. The location is a half mile north of Rt. 328 near the end of the split rail fence. I saw one kite over the tree line to the west and also heard the call two times. It is very similar to the call of the broad-winged hawk. I saw the kite at about 4:15 - 4:30 this afternoon(Tuesday, May 20).
