Sorry to keep coming up with puzzlers but my son shot this picture today from the front door of the house with his point-and-shoot camera then inserted a blow-up of the bird. http://picasaweb.google.com/mvalencic/WhiteHawkForID/photo#51959020905286958 42 It's really blurry. My guess is a Rough-legged because of the feathered legs, some pattern on the breast, and it is the only hawk in Sibley's that he shows with so much white. I know that would not hold up in a court-of-identification but it's a start. I can't wait to hear what people think.
