Thanks for the heads up, Rob. It was definitely worth the trip up there just to see them. For anyone still trying to locate the birds, they are actually south of the changing house not the north end of the beach. At least that's where they were when I observed them at 12:30. After I saw the avocets, I went over to them dam. There are about a gazillion cliff swallows flying around there. There was also a mallard with seven ducklings that are almost as big as she is.
