Howdy, After walking more of Spring Valley WA than I ever have before, I got a pretty good showing of birds. There were some shy ones, of course, but got some good photos of a few of the cooperative ones(N Watherthrush, WC Sparrow, nesting Tree Swallow). The oddity, today, was the pair of Forrester's Terns that showed up and parked on the duck houses towards the center of the lake. Kind of cool, but out of reach for the lens. Here's the rundown: Canada Goose Mute Swan Wood Duck Mallard Great Blue Heron Turkey Vulture Red-shouldered Hawk Virginia Rail Sora Killdeer Forster's Tern Mourning Dove Barred Owl Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Hairy Woodpecker Northern Flicker Pileated Woodpecker Eastern Kingbird White-eyed Vireo Yellow-throated Vireo Warbling Vireo Blue Jay American Crow Tree Swallow Northern Rough-winged Swallow Carolina Chickadee Tufted Titmouse White-breasted Nuthatch Carolina Wren Blue-gray Gnatcatcher Eastern Bluebird Wood Thrush American Robin Gray Catbird Brown Thrasher Northern Parula Yellow Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Palm Warbler Prothonotary Warbler Northern Waterthrush Eastern Towhee Field Sparrow Song Sparrow White-throated Sparrow White-crowned Sparrow Northern Cardinal Indigo Bunting Red-winged Blackbird Common Grackle Brown-headed Cowbird Purple Finch American Goldfinch Peace, Phil --------------------- Philip M.
