Big changes at West Creek since yesterday. I managed to squeeze in between rain showers and ran into a huge flock of warblers in the woods east of the parking lot. There were 100+ birds streaming through the treetops and the majority were Palm Warblers (50), all at treetop level. The Palms were everywhere...it was pretty incredible and the most I have ever seen at an inland location. Other warblers: Nashville (4), Yellow (2), Yellow-rumped (41), Black-throated Green (3), Black-and-white (2), Northern Waterthrush (1), and Common Yellowthroat (2). Other notable migrants included Red-headed Woodpecker and Blue-headed Vireo. May has arrived... -Gabe Leidy Cleveland ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile.
