Beautiful area where land developers haven't yet=20 bulldozed. Vernal pools several hundred feet in length housed a pair of=20= Wood Ducks and Mallards. Heard several Red-Bellied Woodpeckers in the tal= l=20 trees there. Further along the trail was a nice woods of medium trees and= =20 many fruit/berry bushes: Song Sparrow Field Sparrow Baltimore Oriole male and female Solitary Viroe Wood Thrush House Wren Carolina Wren All these birds were nesting in this "Wast Lane" by where the city dumps=20= its trash. I told him to be very careful as this could become habit forming. This nest is across the Chagrin River from Chagrin River Park, Eastlake, OH. Exit SR 2 at Lost Nation Road and the park entrance is right there.
