A single marbled godwit was present on the sandbar Tuesday evening. The bird was feeding on the mudflats when I arrived around 6:45PM and was still present when I left 2 hours later. It was on the ground the entire evening, with just a brief flight from one side of the mudflats to the other. Even without the godwit, a decent gathering of shorebirds were present: least sandpiper - 10+ semipalmated sandpiper - 20+ killdeer - 6 semipalmated plover - 8 sanderling - 5 s.b. dowitcher - 1 lesser yellowlegs - 3 Bob Krajeski North Kingsville, Ashtabula Co. ----------------------------------------- "PLEASE NOTE: The preceding information may be confidential or privileged.
