If you live in the woods and have bird feeders, the flying squirrels may be visiting your feeders at night. They like our peanut feeder. But they are hard to spot, since you have to look out at your feeder in the middle of the night to catch them in the act. The flying squirrels tolerate our back porch light, but they are wary since they are prey for owls and others.
