The LITTLE BLUE HERON remained at Pipe Creek both Sat. and Sun., seen in Unit D both times. 13 Snowy Egrets were seen today, and a fem. Northern Harrier was present Sat. Shorebird-wise, the area that held the majority of the shorebirds 7/16 was already bone dry Sat. There is still some habitat but it is reduced. Just common shorebird species present - 1 Stilt on Sat. and 26 dowitchers today. Lorain had a decent quantity of common species both days, mostly peeps. 23 Least and 18 Semipalmated Sandpipers were seen today. There is some habitat across the river, as others have already mentioned. Good birding - Gabe Leidy ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
