The first small wave of migrants hit this NE Columbus MetroPark this morning, and they had a decidedly Canadian flavor. I hiked the Goldenrod Trail, then the Thoreau Lake Trail, spending a little over an hour in the park. Included among the arrivals were: Olive-sided Flycatcher - 1 flycatching where the Thoreau Lake trail crosses the open pipeline Least Flycatchers - several at mutliple locations Tennessee Warblers - on the Goldenrod Trail and the Thoreau Lake Trail Magnolia Warbler - 1 on the Goldenrod Trail Chesnut-sided Warbler - several at 3 locations. Blackburnian Warblers - adjacent to Thoreau Lake. This is the 3rd straight morning that I've seen Blackburnians, all at different locations around Columbus, often in clusters of 2-3. ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
