Wow. An adult female blackburnian warbler just showed up at my feeding station and ate bits of unshelled sunflower seeds, here at Highlands Nature Sanctuary in southern Ohio on the Highlands/Ross Co. line. I've never seen one so early here, let alone at my feeding station. Must be post-breeding dispersal from the Appalachians, I guess. We are in a hemlock gorge. Maybe it felt like home.
