I went to Wildwood Park on the eastside of Cleveland on Lake Erie this evening from 6pm to after 7pm. I was surprised there was so much activity. It seemed every 3rd or 4th bird was a flycatcher (couldn't ID them all)and there was a lot of warbler activity near the lake in the trees that still had sunlight in them south and west of the bathhouse all the way to the Euclid Beach fence. Here is what I could make out: Chimney Swifts Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 3 Eastern Wood-Pewees - had to be several Least Flycatcher Eastern Phoebes 2-3 Blue-headed Vireo 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglets 2 Warblers: Nashville 2 Chestnut-sided 2 Magnolia 4 Yellow-rumped 7 Black-throated Green 1 Blackburnian 2 Blackpoll 8 American Redstart 2 Wilson's 1 Song Sparrows 2 Nancy Anderson Richmond Hts, OH http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancy_a/ ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
