I went to Wildwood Park yesterday and today. Wildwood is on Lakeshore Blvd. & E. 174th on Lake Erie. There were more interesting finds today. My husband was with me this morning, couldn't see everything that was there so I went back later by myself. Found different birds later. Didn't get there til later both days, couldn't find many warblers but found other birds. Here are some of my highlights: Wildwood - 9/28 10:30am to 12:00 and then 2:45pm to 4:45 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 2 Northern Flickers - many many Blue-headed Vireo 1 pm (field north of library) Red-breasted Nuthatch 1, White-breasted 1 Carolina Wren 1 House Wrens - many Winter Wrens - few 9/28 & 9/27 Golden-crowned Kinglets - heard many, saw about 5 Ruby-crowned 2 Brown Creeper 1 (seen 9/27) Gray-cheeked Thrush 1 Swainson's Thrush 5-6 HERMIT THRUSH 1 (first I have seen) am Wood Thrush 1 am Brown Thrashers 2 Cedar Waxwings 2 Tennessee Warbler 1 pm (field north of library) pictures Nashville 1 pm (field north of library) Black-throated Blue 1m (seen 9/27) Black-throated Green 1 pm American Redstarts 2 Lincoln's Sparrow 1 pm White-throated 40-50+ DARK-EYED JUNCO 1 (first I have seen) pm Rose-breasted Grosbeak 1f am (in field north of library) Many Blue Jays & Robins today Nancy Anderson Richmond Hts, OH http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancy_a/ ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
