Hi all, I was over at the now famous Coshocton County Wood Stork site today, sometime after Don Plant, and can report that they were socked in for the day, from the looks of it. All three birds were roosting along the back edge of the small swamp that they've come to favor, treating many birders to great looks. I left there about 1 pm or so, and there they sat. It was nice to get much better photos today, as the light was much better than the last time I was there. It's likely that Hurricane Fay had a hand in bringing these southerners up, and with Hurricane Gustav now battering the southern coast, who knows that's next. Frigatebird? Just came from Twin Lakes along the Scioto River, and the Marbled Godwit is in residence and putting on a show. This site was well described a day or two back in a posting by Aaron Boone, who first located the godwit here. Jim Jim McCormac Columbus, Ohio Like nature?
