After a late start I went to Wildwood State Park on Lake Erie on the east side of Cleveland this morning. The place was full of Yellow-rumped warblers, White-throated sparrows and some Golden-crowned Kinglets up high. Only found 6 species or warblers so I went to a park in Lake County and couldn't find much of anything. I then went to Sims Park on Lake Erie in Euclid, found five species of warblers and then went back to Wildwood Park. By this time the Golden-crowned Kinglets were thick in the main woods. Just about every bird was a Golden-crowned Kinglet and there were a lot of these birds. The Brown Creepers in some places were very visible flying around. The sounds of Kinglets, Yellow-rumps, Brown Creepers, White-throated Sparrows kept it interesting. I found more birds near Lake Erie than away from it.
