I made quick trips to both of these spots yesterday morning to check for late migrants, Hoover dam did not have too much going on, save for some overhead flocks of Robins and Redwings, as well as 2 Red-br. Nuthatches and a Barred Owl hanging around the pines of the disc golf course. Blendon had attracted a good number of temperate migrants. In almost 2 hours on the Goldenrod and Streamside trails I had many resident birds as well as 2 sapsuckers 2 Phoebes 1 Red-br.Nuthatch 2 Blue-headed Vireos 3 Hermit Thrushes 6 Winter Wrens 12+ Golden-cr.Kinglets 4 Ruby-cr.Kinglets 2 Nashville Warblers 25+ Yellow-rumped Warblers 3 Palm Warblers 3 Common Yellowthroats 5 E.Towhees 5 Chipping Sparrows 8+ Field Sparrows 1 Lincoln's Sparrow 50+ White-throated Sparrows ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
