I found three Pine Siskins near the nature center at Hueston Woods this afternoon. This portion of the park is in Preble County. On the way there I found a Northern Harrier just east of Camden. I was not able to re-locate the Cackling Goose reported earlier in the week. I did find Bonaparte's Gulls mixed in with the Ring-billed. There were 6 Black Vultures at the north end of the lake. I briefly checked out the dredging spoil area next to the Group Campground and it looks really good for sparrows. I wish I had more time to spend there but I did find Song and White-crown sparrows. There were Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs feeding at the north end of the lake also along with two resting Snipe and three dunlin.
