The GLAUCOUS GULL found by Bill Stanley is now at the south beach. It flies back and forth from the beach to a sand spit to the west of beach. After everyone left, and while studying the gull, I noticed an unrecognized chip note from the brush on the west side of the beach parking lot. The bird flew right in front of me, revealing a very yellow, tail pumping, eastern (yellow) PALM WARBLER (Dendroica palmarum hypochrysea). It was on the ground some, but mostly stayed in the low weeds. It flew onto the short grass to forage, then flew out of sight to the east. Pics of Gull will be posted to: http://donaldthebirder.blogspot.com/ Don Morse Jr New Richmond, OH ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
