Birding was pretty slow at Killdeer today, with only a few of each species
of raptor seen. All water except the Upland Reservoir was frozen. The only
waterfowl seen were a small flyover flock of geese. One treat was seeing
seven Sandhill Cranes flying south over Killdeer Plains at about 10:30 AM.
Another nice surprise was a dozen Meadowlarks behind the Sportsman's Center.
