In addition to the long-tailed duck, there was a pie-billed grebe around 9:00 this morning. There were also five wood ducks hiding under the bushes along the far shore of the cove at the northeastern corner of the lake. I looked for the merlin reported by Charlie Bombaci but with no luck. It is a beautiful bird and easy to see, a scope in not required to see it. Good Birding!
