Today was reminiscent of sitting at the Niagara on the lake watching the Bonaparte's heading out at the end of the day. From 7:15-7:45 I saw about 20 Bonaparte's gulls and then from 7:45-8:30 I saw over 20,000. It was pretty much one huge flock of birds heading to parts unknown. I was able to pick a Franklin's, 4 littles, and 1 black-headed gull out of the masses, there may have been more. there were a few ducks. Most were red-breasted mergansers, but I did have a couple surf scoters.
