While out on one of our training hikes Andi and I saw two red-shouldered hawks (a life bird for me!) in the OSU West Campus area. They were in the tall grass area between Beekman Park and Lane Avenue. Based on size difference, we think we saw a female and a male. Here's a list of all the species we saw: Red-shouldered Hawk 2 Rock Pigeon 4 Mourning Dove 1 Northern Flicker 2 Blue Jay 1 American Crow 7 Carolina Chickadee x White-breasted Nuthatch 1 American Robin x European Starling x Cedar Waxwing x Dark-eyed Junco x Northern Cardinal 1 American Goldfinch x House Sparrow x Steve Wolfe Columbus ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
