Sounds like I went to Greenlawn too early yesterday (8:00 a.m.) but I
wasn't the only one there that early looking for the WWCBs. None of us saw
them - but it was pretty cold out then. Stopped at the Pit first -- same
time as a Coopers, so that flushed everything. Eventually lots of juncos,
white breasted NHs, cardinal, downy WP, mourning doves. Later saw a fem.
sapsucker there and a couple robins. By the bridge there was a nice flock
of goldfinches and more juncos. Later (about 2:30 p.m.) driving up
Riverside Dr. between Fishinger and Hayden Run: 2 adult bald eagles
swooping around about 100 feet above the water. Very nice!

And lastly, in my yard, one lone and voracious Grackly chowing down on corn
at my ground feeder. I have to admit that I don't think I've seen a
Grackle in the snow or this late before around here. Anyone?
