There’s an excellent article posted on ebird today on the differences of crossbill vocalizations. It’s can be found here: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/news/introduction-to%20crossbill-vocalizations
It also talks about the potential breeding of WWCR in the south part of their range including Ohio. There was already a nest discovered in New York 10 miles north of the Pennsylvania line.
