Yesterday at Mosquito Creek W.A. in Trumbull there was a single white phase snow goose in a medium-large flock of Canadas on the frozen pond toward the end of Mahan-Denham (sp?). It was a nice surprise, having surveyed many a goose flock there over the years without any luck. Besides that, it was the usual suspects. Numerous Bald eagles were putting on a show, and we saw several coopers, red tails, and red shouldered as well. Still no rough leggeds there, however. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying a small group of siskins at my feeder over the last couple weeks here in Boardman. I've tried to bird as much as possible while home for winter break...Massachusetts has a great variety of birds but they're kinda hard to chase when you don't have a car... Good luck in the new year... JGP ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
