The snow brought a lot of activity to the feeders today. I had a flock of
14 COMMON REDPOLLS land in the trees along the cliff. Two of the birds
started to come to the feeders, but the eagles kept flying around and the
whole flock took off and never reappeared. The eagles don't tend to bother
the regular feeder birds, but the ones passing through seem to get scared
off easily. Other than that I had about 20-30 pine siskins through the day.
There were lots of juncos today. At their peek I think there were in excess
of 80. Also of interest, a northern harrier flew by heading west in the
afternoon.
