Greetings Anticipating the heavy snow and frigid temperatures I spent the morning hauling wood inside and birding. Our resident screech owl is still in it's house in the far corner of the yard. After filling all the feeders we were delighted to have pine siskins still feeding with the goldfinches. I've noticed a decline in goldfinches at the feeder this winter. Also had juncos (they're learning to hover and feed on the peanut butter suet) carolina wren titmice cardinals blue jays chickadees red bellied woodpeckers downy woodpeckers Red-tailed hawk Sharp-shinned hawk Yesterday we spotted a flock of snow buntings at Becker Road near Gore Orphanage. Happy birding Dorothy ______________________________________________________________________ Ohio-birds mailing list, a service of the Ohio Ornithological Society.
