This afternoon the two or three thousand Canada Geese at the Melvin quarry were joined by twenty-seven white-phase SNOW GEESE plus five blue phase and one Swan,probably a Tundra. Most of the ducks reported previously have moved on. I saw only a few Mallards and Black Ducks and one Ring-necked Duck.

Melvin is well worth checking if you happen to be in the Wilmington area.
