Yesterday afternoon brought clear blue skies, warmer temps, plenty of birds, and a merlin with a kill.

Can't identify the prey (most of the feathers were already plucked and the head was severed).  I watched it feeding in section 70 exactly as previously described by others.  A coopers hawk attempted to steal the meal but the falcon (with kill) flew off.
