Hi all - Sorry for the late post, but nothing too exciting or pressing to disclose anyways. My wife Angie and I visited Secor Metropark this past Sunday and were rewarded with a few seasonal firsts (at least for us). Here's a brief list of what we saw near the visitors' center and its 'window on wildlife'. Carolina Wren - 1 (singing vociferously) Cedar Waxwing - 8 Rusty Blackbird - 1 (our first of the year, calling incessantly near the parking area) Common Grackle - 1 (another FOY, its iridescence is always welcome in February) Brown-headed Cowbird - 4 (FOY, small flock of three females and a male) Looking forward to the arrival of AMWOs - our staff at the Edge of Appalachia Preserve in SE OH has been enjoying their sky-dancing over the last few days....
